In this bluffing strategy there usually will only be two or three players left at a table, and it will be late in the tournament. A short stack player may bluff with an all in bet to get their opponent to fold and to double their chips. This bluffing strategy can also be used by the big stack player in an attempt to eliminate another finalist or to win a poker tournament.
No matter what bluffing strategy that a player uses, they should be willing to accept that fact that sometimes bluffing will work and sometimes it will not. The way to maximize the benefits of bluffing, the player will need to make calculated risks. They should make sure that their risk to win the chips in the pot out weighs the drawbacks of losing the hand. Poker players can also help to maximize the benefits of their bluffing by using it sparingly. If a player bluffs too often their opponents will begin to call them, and the bluff will no longer be effective. By learning how to bluff effectively a poker player will be able to improve the number of chips that they are able to secure, and they will also be able to improve their performance in the sit-and-go tournament.
